Community Health Forum

This Community Health Forum aims to assess the mental health and substance use needs of our rural community in Auglaize County, Ohio. By gathering insights from residents, we can identify gaps in services, understand prevalent issues, and enhance local mental health resources.

Objectves

  • Assess Mental Health Status: Understand the prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions among residents.

  • Evaluate Access to Services: Identify the availability and accessibility of mental health resources, including counseling, support groups, and crisis services.

  • Explore Substance Use Issues: Gather data on substance use patterns and the need for treatment services within the community.

  • Identify Barriers: Recognize barriers that residents face in accessing mental health care, such as cost, transportation, and stigma.

  • Community Needs: Determine what types of mental health programs and services residents would like to see implemented or expanded in Auglaize County.

Methodology

  • Anonymity and Confidentiality: All responses will remain anonymous to encourage honest feedback and protect participants’ privacy.

  • Data Analysis: Results will be compiled and analyzed to create a comprehensive Annual Report that will guide local health initiatives and resource allocation.

  • Validated Measures: Survey includes validated research tools such as the GAD-2, the PHQ-9, and the PC-PTSD-5.

Community Impact

The findings from this survey will be shared with local health organizations, policymakers, and community leaders to inform decision-making and improve mental and behavioral health services in Auglaize County. By participating, residents will contribute to a collective effort to enhance the well-being of their community.
